I was born in Cebu City, Philippines "The Pearl of the Orient Seas". After watching Holiday on Ice on tour as a little kid, right then I knew I wanted to be a figure skater. I always told my parents I wanted to put knives under my shoes so I can skate. Ice Skating wasn't big back home, so I trained in City Plaza Ice palace, Hong Kong to skate. Among the hundreds of skaters of the Philippine team, I am one of the first Filipino Figure Skaters to represent the Philippines nationally all over Asia and Internationally in the U.S. I moved to Chicago, IL to further my training, and joined Disney On Ice. Besides my skating, I am an Architecture and Fine Arts graduate of UI.
What do you like best about coaching: Working with children is a joy in my heart. Being able to impart my knowledge and skills and see how they progress is rewarding. Whether it's their first time on the ice, their first spin, jump or competition, no matter what level they are, being a part of that is priceless. I am proud of my students.
What do you want skaters to know about you: Skating is my passion. I take my coaching to the best of my ability. I take time to know my students so I can design the best and effective technique towards achieving their goals as a skater.
