Sharpen your skates and get ready to show your stuff in the 2009 RMFSC Annual Ice Show “Skating Through the Decades”. The show is for all levels of skaters from three year old tots to World competitors alike. This is an experience that your child will remember forever. Your child will have the time of their life, meet new friends and be a part of the deeply rewarding experience for the whole family. Don’t miss your chance of being a star in the 2009 production!!
This year’s show will be an exciting production. The RMFSC club is excited to produce the biggest and best Annual Ice Show to date. Although this show is an amateur show, it must operate along professional guidelines in order to be successful. A decision to be in the show is a serious commitment to the following requirements. The following information is designed to help explain what you may expect from the ice show experience and to help answer any questions you may have about participating in the show.

Attention All Ice Show Skaters
Ice Show Costumes are in and will be distributed this week. We'd like to take photos of the group numbers with your costumes for the 2009 Ice Show Souvenir Program.
All Group Number photos will be taken after each rehearsal starting this Friday, May 1, 2009. You may come dressed to your rehearsal with your costume on, including makeup and hair finished. Or you can put your costume on after you are finished with your rehearsal but don't be late for the photo opportunity! Also, choreographers for each group number should be present for the photos. I think the kids would like to remember the coaches who helped make their group number a success!
Please note the dates and times your group photo will be taken. Depending on the weather, we will be taking the pictures outside the ice rink (near the horses). If weather does not cooperate to the photo taking dates, we will take pictures inside by the fireplace.
Photo Schedule for Group Numbers - Please Mark you Calendars
Please send email to Mary Gonzales for more information.

Levels All skaters are grouped according to skating level, age, size, and ability. Group numbers are choreographed to the average skating level of the group. Each number will give the skater the chance to demonstrate his or her skating abilities. The choreographers give much consideration towards balancing out the levels of skating while providing a challenge to all of the skaters that are involved in their number.
Evaluations There will be no evaluations for this year’s production. Skaters will be placed in his/her appropriate level number, solo, duet, trio, or small group by the directors and the ice show committee.
Father/Daughter Number This number is open to any skater participating in the show. There will be only one off-ice rehearsal and two on-ice rehearsals. Fathers only need to know how to skate around the rink at a slow speed. Many skating programs around the city annually have a Father/Daughter number in their productions. All daughters in the number will wear a formal or nice white dress provided by the skater and fathers will wear a black tux or dark suit. It is a memorable experience for all that participate in the number and is a wonderful addition to the production of the show. The rehearsals will be held on Sunday afternoons.
Al's Formal Wear at Flatiron Crossing Mall One W. Flatiron Crossing Ste. 200 Broomfield, CO 80021 Phone Number: (303) 404-1700
is offering a basic black tux package for $59.96 or 20% off of any other package. Ask for the Rocky Mountain Figure Skating Club Ice Show discount. Get measured now!! No tux is needed for the Thursday, May 14, 2009 Dress Rehearsal. Dress rehearsal for the skaters is from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the Blue Rink. Dads will need to be ready at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm rehearsal. Daughters need to wear a white formal dress (not a skating dress). Now is a great time to get discounted dresses from the Easter holiday season.
Ice Dancing Number Due to the great success of the Dance program at the Ice Centre, a dance number may be added to this year’s production if there is enough interest. Skaters must be at a tested level to participate in this number. Participating skaters do not need to have a partner to be in this number (additional fee may apply).
Solos, Duets, Trios, Quartets, Step-outs Due to the continuing growth and improvements by the skaters at the Ice Centre, the criteria for choosing skaters for solos, duets, trios, quartets, and step-outs changes on a annual basis. Skaters that have received specialty numbers in the past may not be chosen for specialty numbers for this year’s production. Skaters will be placed in numbers that best suit the direction of the show. Skaters selected for these numbers have earned them due to competition placement, skating levels passed, showmanship, and special invitation. RMFSC members will have priority for solos.
