Welcome to Rocky Mountain Figure Skating Club
Our Mission is to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating for its skating members of all ages and disciplines. Through its programs and skater support, the Club seeks to create a positive and supportive environment for skaters to train and accomplish their personal goals.
Our club members train and compete in all skating disciplines: Free skate, pairs, dance and synchronized team skating. Over the years we have had 12 national champions in free skate and our synchronized skating teams qualify to compete in the U.S. National Synchronized Skating Championships annually.
Instructions on how to enter your volunteer hours into entryeeze! are on the Volunteer Info page!
Club Treasurer Position
The Club is looking for a member who may be interested in taking on the role of club treasurer for the 2018/2019 membership year. Position requires a detail-oriented person. Accounting background/experience is helpful, but not required. Must be a member in good standing of the club for the 2018/2019 membership year and eligible to serve on the Board. Training will be provided.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Nanci Slami at firstname.lastname@example.org or Brenda Bowers at email@example.com.
RMFSC would like to thank Robyn Sudkamp, the director of "A Jungle Adventure" for creating and directing an amazing ice show for our skaters. Thank you to all of the skaters for your participation in the show and dedicating additional time in your schedules for rehearsals. A special thank you to the ice show committee and all the volunteers who helped before, during and after the show. The show would not have been possible without your help!!
The Club is soliciting members to run for the Board. Senior members or parents of introductory members who have been a member in good standing for the previous membership year are eligible to run for the Board. There will be 5 positions up for election this year.
This is a great way to be involved in your child's sport and make a difference for the skaters of RMFSC. Currently, the Board meets every 6 weeks on Monday nights, for approximately 2 hours, although some meetings are longer than others. The meeting days may be subject to change with the election of new Board members.
If you are interested in running for the Board or would like more information, please contact a board member or submit a bio by Monday, April 16.
The Scrip Program is a fund raising program that benefits your skater DIRECTLY, with funds that may be used to pay for skating related expenses. After registering for the program, you purchase physical or electronic gift cards for the stores where you normally shop. There are hundreds of merchants who participate, and they offer rebates for the scrip card purchases. The club retains 1% of the transaction total to cover administrative costs. The remainder of the rebate value is tracked for you, and held until you are ready to spend it on skating expenses. There is no cost to join or use the program, and it is truly as good as it sounds! Rebates add up fast – you’re shopping and spending money already – why not get rebates to help pay for your skater’s expense?
